How about SANS SMUG? I wonder what percentage of hybrid or electric vehicles have vanity plates. I bet it’s wayyyy higher than average.

There’s a Tesla here with a “PRO OIL” plate. The local university has a big petroleum engineering department.

In Illinois they all seem to have “EL XXXX” where XXXX is a four digit number. Maybe you can’t have vanity plates on a Model S here? Hybrids have regular plates.
